Ernie Clark's  "Men's Light-Plane Endurance Record Challenge" 2 Attempts - Aug 31st thru Sept 9th, 1939 

 

Marathon Dancing - 1,245 hours, Marathon Endurance Bicycling - 175 hours, Marathon Endurance Flying - 420 Hours (17 days, 12 hours).  Record set by Jackson & O'Brine over St. Louis in mid 1929.

 

Rules - You can't touch the ground, refueling done while in flight.  Ernie Clark & Robert Donnell's first attempt - 20 hours, 55 minutes (Mechanical Problems). Second attempt - 97 hours 30 minutes (Mechanical Problems).  4 days, 1 1/2 hours non-stop flying - amazing.
